PILLE
Pendant Lamp, Design 2019, Market Launch 2020, Manufacturer: MoltoLuce
A glass pill, sculpturally floating, supported by two slim cables. Various glass colours and surfaces offer almost infinite combination possibilities.
Constructively, this goal of a floating glass body is achieved by a horizontal ring from which all 4 individual glass bodies grow out and which simultaneously carries the LEDs, dissipates the heat of the LEDs and finally integrates the power supply. The LED driver is integrated in the ceiling canopy.
The light is designed as up-/downlight, whereby the direct part illuminates the table without glare, the indirect part serves as effect light through coloured glasses, glasses with colour gradient or satinised surface. The amazing thing about the transparent design is that the light finds its way into the target without glare. This is achieved by a second, smaller pill shape, which floats in the middle of the lamp, similar to the pill of a kinder egg.
This inner form is made of fine satinized glass, which gently diffuses the light from the actual light source, the 2 LEDs arranged horizontally on the middle pane and lets it exit glare-free from all positions, or illuminates the accent glass of the upper half very evenly.
